Distribute registration and educational materials
Distribute materials to Team Captains prior to the kickoff so that participants can register immediately following the excitement of the event.
Distribute promotional materials
Promote Take Action! through management, the Planning Committee, the Team Captains, and directly to participants. Use a variety of resources and methods to promote the program including emails, flyers, and announcements at meetings.
Conduct your kickoff event
Use this event to motivate potential participants to register for the program by presenting about the benefits and incentives of the Take Action! program.
Register participants
Before or during the kickoff event, each potential participant should receive information about Take Action! and how to join. This information should include the Registration Form
, the Set Your Goal Worksheet
, the Take Action! Log
, and the handout entitled "Recommended Adult Intake of Fruits and Vegetable Table," if your worksite has chosen to focus on fruit and vegetable consumption, or the handout entitled "Physical Activity and Exercise Safety," if your worksite has chosen to focus on physical activity. (See the "Participant Forms" and "Participant Materials" sections.) Participants should complete the Registration Form and the Set Your Goal Worksheet before the program begins.
