Communication from upper management to employees before Take Action! begins can raise awareness of the program and encourage people to participate. Feel free to customize and use the following sample documents to begin this communication.

Suggestions for Letter from Management

  • Announce any special prizes or incentives that will be awarded.
  • Use this letter to announce Team Captains and Planning Committee members.
  • Encourage members of management to share the benefits they receive from eating healthy and being active or to share personal stories and challenges.
  • If available, include past evaluation results to congratulate participants for past achievements and to challenge them to do more.
