Take Action! was developed through the efforts of many dedicated people. The California 5 a Day—Be Active! Worksite Program wishes to recognize the American Cancer Society's Active for Life—Worksite Physical Activity Program and the original physical activity version of Take Action!, developed by the Physical Activity and Health Initiative and the California Health Promotion Collaborative, for providing the content and programmatic foundation of this updated Take Action! employee wellness program. Special thanks must also be extended to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for leading the way with the Director's Challenge, a worksite physical activity program from which the first Take Action! program originated.

Our deepest thanks and appreciation are also extended to the following staff and partners for their review and input: Jigme Chhimi, David Ginsburg, MPH, Michael MacIntosh, and Jessica Micheletti, MPH, Cancer Prevention and Nutrition Section of the California Department of Health Services; Suzanne Flint and Sue Meadows, California Task Force on Youth and Workplace Wellness; Della Gilleran and Phil Tretheway, Marketing by Design; Regan King and Gabriele Höppel, Cake Farm; and Mae Ng, MPH, American Cancer Society.

The staff who participated in the development and production of Take Action! includes Desiree Backman, DrPH, RD, James Carman, MS, Sara Cook, MPH, CHES, and Kristy Garcia, Cancer Prevention and Nutrition Section of the California Department of Health Services.
